A big rumor going around this weekend is that Carly Simon’s You’re So Vain was actually about record label boss David Geffen. Well, Carly released an official statement saying that the song is not about him at all.

Lady Gaga’s debut album The Fame is officially certified as diamond and has sold over 10 million copies! Her follow-up album is now double platinum! Great job!

Taylor Lautner pulled out of the upcoming production of Max Steel so that he could focus his attentions on the final Twilight movies and Hasbro’s Stretch Armstrong. “In the weeks after signing on to play Steel, Lautner became increasingly convinced that Hasbro was playing its hand better than Mattel,” said one source.

Whitney Houston’s concert tour in Australia is not going that well. Fans and critics have been calling the concert a mess and a ton of people have been walking out of the shows. One critic said, “She barely finished any of her songs and talked more than she sang while trying to catch a breath, as well as stopping in the middle of her songs to get a towel and reapply makeup. If her voice is shot, and she knows it, how dare she get up on stage and pretend it’s not.” Ouch!

YAY!!! Rihanna stated on Friday that she is in the process of recording another album and that it should be out this year. She said that it will be a lighter sound and be a little more fun. “Rated R was perfect for that dark period in my life, but I’m ready to come into the light.”

Leighton Meester announced that she will be putting her music career on the backburner while shooting the indie movie The Oranges this April. The only problem is that she hasn’t really done anything with her music career. Her album hasn’t even come out yet.

TMZ is reporting that Paula Abdul has passed on ABC’s offer to be on Dancing with the Stars and a $1 million development deal for her own show. Apparently she is in talks to be on Simon Cowell’s X Factor.

Producer Elina Miller wants to capitalize on the “Jersey Shore phenomenon.” She wants to do a show that is based on the Russian-Americans in New York City’s Brighton Beach community.

U2 had the most successful tour of 2009. According to Billboard, the group made $108 million for their 360 Degrees Tour. Bruce Springsteen was in second place with $57 million.

Universal has decided to pull the plug on the Wanted franchise. Angelina Jolie said that she was not interested in doing another movie. Once Universal found that out, they decided to scrape the whole thing.

NBC has cast actor Dermot Mulroney as Jim Rockford in the upcoming remake of The Rockford Files. The original series starred James Garner and ran from 1974 to 1980.

TV Land has signed on to do another season of Joan River’s How’d You Get So Rich? The six episode run will air May 5th.

If you’re a fan of Avatar, director James Cameron will be on Inside the Actors Studio tonight on Bravo.

The newest participants in Dr. Drew’s Sober House on VH1 were announced on Friday. They include: Dennis Rodman, Heidi Fliess, Tom Sizemore, Jennie Ketchman, Kendra Jade Rossi, Kari Ann Peniche, Mike Starr, and Seth Binzer. (Wow, that’s kind of a pathetic list of “celebrities”)
