Billy Lucas, Asher Brown, Seth Walsh, Tyler Clementi and now Raymond Chase, 19, from Monticello, New York.
Raymond Chase, an openly gay sophomore at Johnson and Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island, hung himself in his dorm on Wednesday. Apparently leaving his safety net of family and core friends made dealing with the bullying and name calling too much to deal with.
Please, please, please, talk to your kids, siblings, cousins, friends, roommates, anyone and make sure they are doing okay. If you know someone who is constantly being bullied, please let them know about the Trevor Project and the It Gets Better Project on YouTube.

Legal Issues and Politics
So after a 12 year old boy was harassing her and threw a brick through her living room window, she decide to get a gun and shoot him in the arm. The weird thing is that the police are doing nothing to the 68 year old woman but the kid may spend a year in juvenile detention. Now, I’m not saying what he did was right, but is shooting him in the arm the best response?
La Crosse, Wisconsin police are investing an incident in which a man shoved a 14 year old girl in an attempt to wrestle away a version of the gay pride flag the teen was carrying in the city’s Maple Leaf Parade. Commodore Mark Schneider saw the girl and walked over to her to try and take her flag. When the GLBT Center’s director ran over and asked him to stop because she was only 14, Schneider said, “I do not care. Look what you are teaching.” Then he turned, grabbed the flag, shoved the girl to the ground and yelled at her “Go to a country where they will hang people like you!” This was the first year the center participated in the parade.

Advocates believe this “above the waist” approach gives kids the tools to help them succeed in school and make better life decisions, especially about sex. “There’s a growing realization that we have to talk to young people about relationship. It’s not just about body parts.”

This coming from the guy who can only support “traditional marriage” – who know the kind in which you have an affair with one of your employees, have a baby, then not tell your wife about it for ten years.
The Federal Trade Commission has filed a complaint against the makers of Pom Wonderful for “making false and unsubstantiated claims that their products will prevent or treat heart disease, prostate cancer, and erectile dysfunction.”
