Model Amber Rose is pissed! She is the female face of Vibe’s June/July Sexy Issue but took to Twitter to curse Vibe the hell out. Apparently the interview in the magazine paints Amber is a very negative light and she says most of the info is wrong. “Yall don't give a f#ck that I have a Mom & Family thats gonna read that fake ass sh#t. I gave yall a truthful interview & Yall f##ked me."

Not that this should really be a surprise, but Oprah does not send personalized emails from her Oprah@Oprah.com email address like she said she would. (Duh! Did anyone really believe she would?) Everyone is getting the same email: “Got your email. Thank you for watching the finale. I could feel your beating hearts, along with mine, through the TV screen. I'm off to take a little rest, and then I'll get busy working on OWN. Take care of yourself. I'll write soon, Oprah”
In her new memoir, Frank Sintra’s widow Barbara Sinatra opens up about life with Frank. She says that he had obsessive cleaning habits were nuts and that he’d take like 12 showers a day. She also said that he also got really mean when he drank gin. If she saw the bottle on the end table or kitchen counter, she’d go up to her room and lock the door.
Cheryl Burke and Maksim Chmerkovskiy were spotted hanging out at the club Moon at the Palms Resort and Casino this past Saturday and after several drinks the two started making out like crazy on the dance floor. So either they are a couple or it was just the alcohol. We’ll have to wait for the official word.
Although James Franco was set to launch his new James Dean-inspired art exhibition, called his Rebel installation, in Venice, Italy on June 2nd, he has apparently postponed the release date. It’s so “his vision for the project can be fully realized.”
Sarah Palin and Donald Trump hung out for the day. She met him at his 45,000 square foot apartment and then they headed to a “low-key” dinner spot. (After seeing a 45,000 square foot apartment, I’m sure any restaurant seemed low-key)

TV/Movies/Music
Adele revealed that she is already working on her next album and that five tracks are ready to go. “One of them is quite upbeat – a real ‘girl power’ type of song. Another is a cover of the INXS hit Never Tear Us Apart, which is probably my fave song of all time.”

Speaking of Glee cast members going solo… Columbia Records is going to be working with Naya Rivera (aka Santana) on a solo album. Apparently Naya has been working as a songwriter since 2002 and is excited to be able to record her own work instead of having someone else sing it.
A mother is accusing the makers of The Sims 3 of being lax in their protection of children on their website. She reportedly was supervising her child online when the screen was bombarded with dozens of pornographic images. After the story broke, the makers said they were going to work with the mother to figure out what happened.

What Is Wrong With This Billboard?

Apparently this ad is so offensive that the Australian Christian Lobby has forced an outdoor advertising company to yank a just-launched safer sex campaign. It all started with this billboard which has features a fully-clothed gay couple holding an unopened condom.
The ACL says that they object to the “sexual nature” of the ad and not the fact there is a gay couple on it. The interesting part is that they didn’t say anything about the billboards that look just like this but feature a man and a woman.
So, just to let you know, it is better to have children and young adults practice unsafe sex and get diseases and/or pregnant than to show a gay couple on a billboard.
Legal Issues and Politics
Yesterday, the White House issued a proclamation recognizing LGBT Pride Month: “The story of America's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) community is the story of our fathers and sons, our mothers and daughters, and our friends and neighbors who continue the task of making our country a more perfect Union. It is a story about the struggle to realize the great American promise that all people can live with dignity and fairness under the law. Each June, we commemorate the courageous individuals who have fought to achieve this promise for LGBT Americans, and we rededicate ourselves to the pursuit of equal rights for all, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.”
Germany has announced plans to close all its nuclear power plants by 2022. German Chancellor Angela Merkel was actually a big advocate for extending the life of the power plants but did an about-face after the March meltdown in Japan.
Australia’s second most populated state Victoria is about to have a new piece of legislation which police can use their own discretion to fine people for excessive use of swear words or offensive phrases, using the label of “obnoxious amounts.” Offenders can be fined up to $240.
Interesting dilemma… Back in 1993, Barbara Streisand donated a 22.5 acre Malibu ranch to the state of California and the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy to make the land a state park and nature preserve for mountain retreats. Well, now Gov. Jerry Brown wants to sell the $15 million property to help pay off California’s debt. Do you think the state should profit from a donated property to help pay it’s debts or should it remain a state park?
Pat Robertson wants everyone to know that “opposing Islam is as valid as opposing the Nazis.” He also said, speaking without the slightest trace of irony: “Why is it bigoted to speak against a force that is slowly but surely trying to exercise domination over the entire world?”
The Miami Herald is reporting: “They’ve bullied and taunted her, calling her names and writing on her locker. And now, the seniors at McFatter Technical High School have elected Andrew Viveros their 2011 prom queen. ‘They called my name and I was in total shock,’ said Andrew, a 17-year-old who was born male but has publicly presented herself as female for the last two years. With her long wavy brown hair, Andrew wore a royal blue dress and got a fresh manicure for the Friday night dance. Andrew, also known as Andii, plans to someday change her name to Andrea after she transitions. She wanted to run for prom queen in order to show other transgender teens ‘it gets better.’ She ran against 14 others.”
First San Francisco and then Santa Monica: Performing a circumcision on a boy under the age of 18 – even for religious reasons – would be illegal under a measure that a San Diego group hopes to place on Santa Monica’s November 2012 ballot.
